Bringing Pre-Loved Pieces and Family values into 2025
For us, restoring furniture isn’t just about style — it’s about sense, sustainability, and keeping stories alive. Growing up, wasteful living wasn’t an option. Our grandparents had a certain way of living, they treasured everything they had. Every cabinet, table, or chair had a purpose, and nothing was thrown away without reason. Watching them taught us to value what we have and we are on a mission to pass these values on.
We think we are on the right path, this Halloween our daughter, she’ 5, showed us that! She didn’t want a brand new Hallowen costume, but instead she eagarly participated in the school’s Costume’s Swap, cudos to Educate Together in Kildare town for organising. And by that I mean I had to look in every drawer and attic box to find a costume to swap.

Every piece of furniture we restore has a story. Take this dinnig set, for example — worn and stained, the chairs mismatched, passed down from one generation to another it’s now sanded, restored, and finished, ready to continue being loved in a modern home.
These transformations are why we do what we do. We’re not just restoring furniture; we’re keeping memories, skills, and stories alive.

Sometimes we spot beautiful pre-loved pieces online that inspire us, even if we don’t have the space to take them on ourselves. That’s why we’re starting a weekly series called “Preloved Finds We Couldn’t Buy” — showcasing pieces with character and history, and offering ideas for what you can find if you start looking.
